Virtual office case studies
The Indoor Golf Company
The Indoor Golf Company imports golf simulators from the US for distribution in the UK and Ireland. It has used an MWB virtual office in Guildford for the past five years. Founder Oliver Clark says:
“We chose a virtual office because it’s incredibly low cost, convenient and totally flexible. We work from three different home offices and are often out meeting clients, but the MWB team always track us down to pass on our messages.
As we grow, we can add on more phone lines. The staff at the centre are very reliable – someone is always there to take our calls - if we had our own offices and hired our own receptionist then she couldn’t do that because she would have a lunch break etc.
Clients are always surprised when we tell them we have a virtual office - they imagine we’ve got our own plush offices and lots of staff. We’d like to say a special thanks to the centre manager Abi and all her team who are extremely helpful and don’t mind occasionally dealing with large packages full of golf equipment that get delivered!"
Hancocks Legal
Nickie Harding is a solicitor and set up her own firm last year specialising in employment law. Nickie has an MWB Business Exchange virtual office in Nottingham. She says:
“The virtual office allows me to create a professional corporate image of the firm with an address in the centre of Nottingham. The staff at MWB are wonderful and provide a really impressive face for my business. If I need to meet clients, I can book a meeting room at a time to suit me. It’s a very cost effective solution. The staff ensure that all of my clients’ calls are answered and transferred to me wherever I am.”
Fruit Promotional Products
Fruit Promotional Products supplies promotional items logo-branded gifts, incentives and rewards to the childcare and education sector. The business is run by Colin Halstead from an MWB Business Exchange virtual office in Leeds.
“We started the business in a one bedroom flat but we needed a more impressive business address. We’ve now got bigger premises but still use the virtual office service. Our calls are handled extremely professionally and routed to us wherever we are. We have customers across the UK so we know that if ever need to meet someone we can book one of MWB’s meeting rooms.”
The Confidence Club
The Confidence Club is a group of professional business speakers and coaching experts who have a virtual office at the MWB Business Exchange Centre in Leeds. Director Curly Uppington says:
"There are seven of us running the business and because we're out on the road a lot, we work from our own homes but have a virtual office. It suits us perfectly and is very cost effective. We want to project a professional image and we know that the staff are superb and will answer our calls in a very professional way. The location is very important. It's not only a prestigious address - it's also very practical. We run a lot of workshops and have clients who come from all over the country so we need to be near the station. We book meeting rooms for workshops and they're very smart and the breakout area means that we can have informal meetings or take a break whenever we want during a session."
